Chiropractic care a regulated health profession with expertise the neuro-musculoskeletal health, with an emphasis on spine/j pain/disorders. Chiropractors are to spine care, what dentists are to dental care and optometrist are to eye care. While not medical doctors, chiropractors specialize in musculoskeletal health at the doctoral level. Chiropractors are trained to order advanced diagnostic imaging such as radiographs, MRIs, CTs, MSK ultrasound, electro-diagnostics, laboratory diagnostics, including urinalysis and blood labs. A referral can be made upon request.

Contemporary chiropractors practice a holistic, multi-dimensional, evidence based care. Primary modes of care include, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, patient education, lifestyle factor and self-care recommendations., patient beliefs, psychomotor and psychsoocial function. Overall well being and quality of life are paramount to the practitioner and patient so they can continue to do meaningful activities and independent living.

With 25 years of experience in kinesiology and chiropractic care, I have seen various sorts of neuromusculoskeletal injuries from head to toe and can say that the majority of the scientific evidence suggests holistic, conservative care including reassurance, acupuncture, manual therapies (massage work, adjustments, or joint work) & especially exercise rehabilitation.

I also love sports performance and would really like to expand this part of my practice working with athletes young and old 🙂 in whatever setting is best including group sessions for strength and conditioning, mobility work or general education.

I have extensive knowledge where patients have been referred for potential invasive procedures like cortisone injections, potential surgery, and the like.

After my evaluation, if I believe your case would benefit from a possible surgical consultation I have developed an excellent network in Southern Ontario for spine cases, and where hip and knee replacements might be necessary. As always, I strive to keep up with the latest evidence and best practices and bring my best to the Kirkland and District Area.
